Job Description

A well-known university in the UAE accredited by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) is looking to hire Scholarship & Financial Aid Manager (UAE Nationals Only) to join their team in Dubai.

In this position you would be responsible for the following:

  • Manage all aspects of financial aid policies, requirements, and procedures, ensuring that they are up to date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the processing of scholarships, grants, sponsor accounts, and debt collections to ensure efficient administration and financial integrity.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies related to department scholarships and discounts. Ensure that these policies align with the university’s goals and are effectively communicated to students and staff.
  • Ensure that all financial aid programs comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, university agreements, and policies.
  • Audit files and reports regularly to verify that student funds are processed and released on time, and that all procedures are compliant with regulations.
  • Monitor financial aid and scholarship accounts to ensure that expenditures are within budgeted parameters.
  • Balance financial resources, review credit balance reports, and manage financial aspects, including receiving, auditing, and debt collection.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Financial Aid Office and other university departments to coordinate policies and guidelines related to financial aid.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to develop new information systems related to financial aid and scholarships.
  • Update staff and students on eligibility determination processes for financial aid awards and hear satisfactory academic progress appeals.
  • Prepare and present information at meetings, discussion groups, or workshops for students, parents, and staff to promote awareness of financial aid availability.
  • Assist in designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting computer systems and applications used for financial aid management.
  • Organize and manage financial aid information requested during audits and ensure special conditions and updates are processed accurately.
  • Oversee all procedures related to Thamer’s Fund, ensuring compliance with university rules and regulations, preparing and presenting necessary information, auditing files and lists, and monitoring fund activities.
