EGA – Emirates Global Aluminium

Emiratization is a key strategic objective for the UAE Government. As one of the largest organizations outside the oil and gas industry, EGA contributes both to diversifying the economy and providing long-term career opportunities for Emiratis.

With approximately 7,000 employees and ambitious expansion plans for the future, EGA needs to recruit talented individuals to meet business demand. EGA has placed Emiratization at the core of its business development strategy. In 2014, approximately 250 UAE Nationals were recruited, with the number set to increase year-on-year.

A five-year Emiratization plan to drive recruitment at all levels, for both operations and support areas, has been set. The Emiratization plan targets experienced Emiratis as well as students directly from high school, university and technical college.

While EGA is dedicated to the development of all employees, particular focus is placed on UAE Nationals in line with EGA’s commitment to achieving its Emiratization targets.

Every UAE National has a career development plan in place and there are a wide range of development programmes on offer for UAE National high school and university graduates.
