Companies adhering to Emiratisation policies can benefit from various incentives offered by the Emiratisation Partners Club, including up to 80% discounts on Ministry fees and priority in government procurement opportunities.
Combating Negative Practices
The Ministry has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing unethical practices, such as fake Emiratisation schemes or other attempts to manipulate targets. It emphasized the effectiveness of its oversight system, which actively identifies violations and enforces legal action against non-compliant establishments.
Advice for Emirati Job Seekers
The Ministry also urged Emirati job seekers to verify the authenticity of job offers to avoid involvement in fraudulent schemes and ensure continued eligibility for benefits under the Nafis programme. The Emiratisation initiatives aim to support Emirati professionals, empowering them to contribute significantly to the UAE’s economic growth and development.
Emiratisation Targets
Emiratisation policies mandate that establishments with 50 or more employees must achieve a 2% increase in Emirati employees in skilled positions by the end of the year. Non-compliance will result in financial penalties of AED 96,000 per unmet Emiratisation target for each Emirati not hired.
Additionally, establishments employing 20 to 49 workers in 14 specified economic sectors are also subject to Emiratisation requirements. These establishments are required to employ at least one Emirati and maintain the employment of any Emiratis hired before January 1, 2024. Failure to meet these requirements will incur the same AED 96,000 penalty per unmet target.
