NOMU Initiative
NOMU, Arabic for “growth”, will serve as a scalable model which recognizes, equips, and supports youth as critical actors in the sustainable development of the UAE.
NOMU seeks to upskill and reskill 25,000 Emirati youth by 2025 and equip them with the skills, tools, and experience they need to succeed in a digital, knowledge-based economy.
NOMU will increase employability through high-quality training, enhance digital and transferable skills via workplace learning opportunities, and provide access to market-driven technical degrees. It is a unique opportunity to produce a continuous stream of future shapers who will contribute to the UAE Vision 2021, UAE Centennial 2071, the UAE Energy Strategy 2050, and other priority areas.
Providing market-driven and future-facing educational opportunities, AGFE seeks to create learning pathways for young people, ranging from first job seekers to those looking to reskill to avoid losing their jobs to automation. NOMU offers several unique pathways to elevate the livelihoods of Emirati youth and contribute to the UAE’s future-facing vision.
