EMIRATISATION DEFINED:
Emiratisation, also known as Tawteen, is a UAE Government initiative which mandates the inclusion of UAE National Talent (Emiratis) in the job sector, specifically in the private sector. Emiratisation aims to increase the number of Emiratis in the job market and its contribution to the economy. It will lead to substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.
Starting from 2017, following a strategic plan to promote Emiratisation, MoHRE decided to localise more jobs in the private sector.
Data Entry Positions
Companies that employ 1000+ employees would be required to hire Emiratis citizens for the data entry position.
OCCUPATIONAL H&S OFFICER
Construction facilities with a workforce of 500+ employees must appoint at least one Emiratis occupational health and safety officer from 2017.
INSURANCE SECTOR
Firms shall undertake to employ Emiratis at the annual rate of 5% pursuant to the resolution in 2003.
BANKING SECTOR
Banks shall undertake to employ Emiratis at the annual rate of 4% pursuant to the resolution of 1998.
TRADE SECTOR
Trade sector firms shall undertake to employ Emiratis at the annual rate of 2% pursuant to the resolution of 2004.
