COUNTDOWN: UAE companies have until July 7 to meet Emiratisation deadlines

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced that private sector companies must increase their Emiratisation targets by 2% annually until reaching 10% in 2026. Companies have been given an extension until July 7, 2023, to meet the first half-year target.

Companies with 50 or more employees are urged to achieve the semi-annual Emiratisation targets for skilled positions, or face a fine of AED42,000 for each Emirati not employed. The fines will increase by AED1,000 yearly until 2026.
